The North Fork Lacrosse Club’s mission is dedicated to organizing, developing and promoting the sport of lacrosse within the North Fork community. The club seeks to promote self-esteem, self-respect and self-confidence through youth lacrosse. Specifically, the Club is committed to providing opportunities, through competitive lacrosse, for players to develop skills and attitudes that will enhance their lifelong enjoyment of the game and develop confidence, discipline and teamwork that will be of benefit in all aspects of the player's life.
ABOUT THE CLUB
The North Fork Lacrosse Club fields teams from Kindergarten through 8th grade for boys and girls. These teams participate in the Suffolk County PAL Lacrosse League and the Suffolk County Girls Lacrosse League respectively.
Practices typically begin in late February or early March. The club coordinates indoor clinics during the winter at various locations in an effort to prepare the players for the season. Each coach determines the number of practices held each week. All efforts are made to coordinate the practices at times that are convenient for families and to minimize conflicts with other sports such as baseball. For most teams it is good to plan for a minimum of two practices each week.
The boys and girls generally play an eight game season starting at the end of March and concluding at the end of May. Additional games/tournament may be available after the season ends should teams elect to participate.
Home games and practices for the boys in grades K-3 are held at Cutchogue East Elementary School. Practices for boys in grades 4-8 are also held at Cutchogue East Elementary and games are played at Mattituck High School. Practices and games for the girls are held at Cutchogue West Elementary School.
